Forty inches axle to axle and a 7.5 inch brace height make this one of the long, forgiving bows. It holds steady at full draw, forgives small imprecisions on release, and is at home outdoors and at long distances above all. Let-off runs up to 90 percent, leaving very little holding weight at the wall, which is what makes a long aiming process bearable.

The most striking thing about the Victra is how much can be done without a bow press. The Micro Splitter timing system lets cam timing be corrected without pressing the bow. S.E.T. shifts limb position at the riser and corrects arrow flight where shims and a press would otherwise be needed. And the VX mods are interchangeable: the bow runs either smoother at 319 fps or quicker at 325, and that choice belongs to the archer rather than to the model year.

Alongside that sit the SPX2 cam system, Delta VRT damping, and R.A.C., a picatinny mounting system on riser and limbs that accessories bolt straight onto. The limbs are wider than usual, which settles the bow further.
