Who we are and why we exist
Bogentandler has been online since April 2013 – originally created overnight, born out of the frustration that the existing archery retailers' offerings simply weren't compelling enough. We wanted to do many things better, and our success proves us right: today, we are one of the largest online shops for archery and crossbow equipment in Austria, serving customers throughout Europe.

What sets us apart
A lot is decided only when things don't go to plan – and that's exactly where we want to make a difference:
- Reliable availability: Our stock levels are largely synchronised automatically and daily with our main suppliers. You can see directly in the shop what is actually available.
- Modern accessibility: Via WhatsApp Business, contact form and email – with personal advice, not through a call centre.
- Transparent shipping costs: Fair rates for all of Europe, no hidden surcharges, worldwide shipping on request.
- Honest communication, even when there's a problem: If something doesn't go to plan, we speak plainly and work on a solution – rather than making excuses or putting you off.
- Customer-friendly complaint handling: We handle complaints fairly and with the customer in mind, not for profit. If you have a defect, you should get a solution – not a runaround.
- Long-term customer relationships: We think in terms of lasting relationships, not one-off sales. And quite concretely when it comes to shipping: we mainly use second-hand boxes that we get from friends, neighbours and partner businesses, instead of having them thrown away.
Technology where it helps, people where it counts
We work with a high degree of automation: two Kardex automated storage systems speed up our logistics, the stock levels of our main suppliers are synchronised automatically, and our shop is continuously developed further on the technical side. But: behind every order, every piece of advice and every complaint, there is a person at Bogentandler. We believe that good service doesn't come from a chatbot, but from real listening and well-considered answers. That is exactly what you'll find with us.
The people behind Bogentandler
Bogentandler is run by:
- René as Managing Director, responsible for accounting and the ongoing maintenance and further development of the shop system. He is your contact for advice and complaints.
- Elli as Authorised Officer (Prokuristin), responsible for purchasing, inventory management, procurement logistics and the administrative side of order processing including customer care.
We are supported by Babsi, who is mainly responsible for invoicing and shipping.
