The Wild Mountain tapered cedar shafts feature a conical design with a 5/16” diameter at the nock end and 11/32” at the point end. This taper improves arrow dynamics by allowing the arrow to stabilize more quickly, transfer energy more efficiently, and achieve a flatter trajectory.

The shafts are carefully selected to ensure consistent straightness, spine, and weight. Each shaft is marked with its specifications, including weight tolerance of ±0.5 grains per inch, making it easier to match shafts for consistent arrow sets.

To protect the wood from moisture and environmental influences, the shafts are sealed with a protective lacquer finish.
