Der Beiter Schwerpunkt Clip ist ein kleiner, aber wichtiger Helfer. Er dient dazu, den Schwerpunkt eines Pfeiles zu bestimmen und daraus den F.O.C. (=front of center) zu errechnen, d.h. die Distanz des Schwerpunktes von der Pfeilmitte in Prozent.

Rasten Sie den Balance Clip auf den Pfeil ein und verschieben Sie Ihn bis der Pfeil ausbalanciert ist. Messen Sie nun die Distanz des Schwerpunktes in mm bis zur Spitze (=S) und die Pfeillänge in mm (=L=Nockbett-Spitzenende).

Errechnet wird der F.O.C in % mit folgender Formel:

FOC in % ( L / 2 ) - S) *100 / L

z.B. L=780, S=290 ergibt einen F.O.C. von 12,82%

Mit dem Schwerpunkt Clip kann nicht nur leicht der Schwerpunkt eines einzelnen Pfeiles festgestellt werden, sondern auch der Unterschied der Schwerpunkte innerhalb einer Pfeilserie. Der Schwerpunkt auf jeden einzelnen Pfeil muß mit einem Stift markiert werden. Die Serie sollte dann nebeneinander aufgestellt werden: wenn die Striche eine durchgehende Linie bilden, ist der Schwerpunkt bei der ganzen Pfeilserie gleich, oder Sie können sehen, wie er sich innerhalb der Pfeilserie ändert.
