The Bohning A Nock fits shafts with a 0.204 inch inside diameter, usually sold as 5 mm or X nock.

The throat is a double lock design and holds the arrow securely on the string. The raised index marks the orientation clearly enough to find by feel, so the arrow does not have to be looked at before nocking. At an average of 7.0 grains the nock stays light enough not to shift FOC in any meaningful way.

Bohning puts every nock design through three stages before it goes into production. Computer simulation exposes potential weak points, destructive testing brings design and material faults to light, and an endurance test on a purpose-built bow at over 110 ft-lbs of kinetic energy has to survive more than 1000 shots without failure. That is well beyond what normal shooting produces. If a design falls short, it goes back to development.
