The Fivics Skadi are ILF limbs for the olympic recurve bow, available with either a wood core or a foam core.

Both versions share the same construction. They are built from a graphite and graphene prepreg with the carbon layers laid at 45 degrees, and the limbs are CNC machined. Fivics calls the working section of the limb the Improved Power Zone and credits it with a more even draw cycle.

The difference between the cores lies less in performance than in behaviour. A foam core is homogeneous throughout and therefore very consistent, it barely responds to temperature and humidity, and many archers describe it as slightly more direct and crisp. A wood core is generally held to draw more softly and settle more quietly after the shot, and many find it the more pleasant of the two to shoot. Both are found at the top of the sport, so this is a choice of personal preference rather than one of better or worse. If there is any chance to draw both, take it.

The limbs come in three lengths and in two pound steps from 32 to 48 pounds. On a 25 inch riser that gives bow lengths of 66, 68 or 70 inches.
