Single pin adjustable sight, dialled to distance on a yardage wheel covering 20 to 80 yards.

A single pin sight puts one aiming point in the picture and nothing else. Nothing overlaps the target, nothing gets confused, and at longer distances the face stays clearly in view. The cost is one extra step: the distance has to be known before the shot and dialled in. On a 3D course or in field archery, where the distance is judged or measured anyway, that is simply part of the routine.

To make that work, HHA uses yardage tapes matched to the speed of the individual bow. Once two reference distances are set, everything between and beyond them lands where it should, without sighting in each distance separately. The tapes are water resistant, so a wet day does not render the scale unreadable.

The pin carrier is machined from aluminium, the side bracket adjusts steplessly through a slotted mount, and a level bubble shows whether the bow is upright. The sight is prepared for HHA's Blue Burst light and lens kits.

The versions differ in two respects: the diameter of the fibre pin and whether a mechanical rheostat is fitted. Pin size is a trade-off. A fine pin covers less of the target and allows more precise aiming at distance, but it needs good light. A heavy pin stays clearly visible at dusk and under trees, while covering a noticeable part of the face at 50 metres. The 0.019 inch sits between the two and is the most commonly chosen.

The rheostat is a mechanical slider that controls how much light reaches the fibre optic. In bright sun the pin can be dimmed so it does not bloom; in low light the slider is opened fully. Without a rheostat, brightness follows the ambient light alone.

A note on the numbering: the last two digits indicate pin size, with one exception. The 0.029 inch pin is not listed as 29 but as 00, so the 5000 and 5500 are the versions with the heaviest pin.
