The Concept XTS 40 LD is the version for very long draws, 32.25 to 34 inches, and the only one in the range running the HBX Gen 4 cam.

Where the XTS 34, 37 and 40 use the SCTR 2.0 cam system, the LD works with the fourth generation HBX cam. The reason lies in the draw range: beyond 32 inches you need a cam geometry of its own, not a shifted module position. An archer drawing 33 inches spends their whole time at the outer edge of a standard bow's range; here they sit in the middle of it.

The long power stroke is also why it is quoted at 360 fps, well above the 329 fps of the standard XTS 40. That is not better engineering, simply a longer distance over which the arrow accelerates. The 7.68 inch brace height, the tallest in the family, makes it correspondingly forgiving on release.

Let-off can be set to 65, 70 or 75 percent through the modules, and draw length adjusts in quarter inch steps. The modular grip system adds grip plates at 0, plus 4 and plus 8 degrees, each also in a version an eighth of an inch shorter.
