Bogentandler News : Oak Ridge Shade V2 (new 2024)
The Oak Ridge Shade riser has always been a bestseller among the traditional ILF risers, scoring points for its solid craftsmanship and elegant wood combinations. It was redesigned in 2024 and is now available on the market as the V2.
It is a very classic 19” ILF wooden riser that is specifically tailored to traditional shooters. In combination with the (matt black) Oak Ridge Shade limbs, the result is a fantastic bow for the 3D range. Of course, all standard ILF limbs fit on this bow, so there are virtually no limits to personal taste.
The Shade riser is currently available in two color variants made from the more affordable Dymondwood (one body in grey and one in reddish wood) and two further color variants made from the creative but somewhat more expensive Actionwood (namely the dark Dorado or the lighter Tahoma). It is not impossible that other colors will follow later.
With short limbs, the result is a 60“ long bow, with long limbs a 64” long bow and in between is the classic hunting bow length of 62”, which is achieved with medium limbs. The Shade limbs are already calculated for a 19“ riser - it should be noted that ILF limbs are usually calculated for a 25” riser. A 66“ limb (so "short") with 22 pounds for example (calculated on a normal 25” riser), when used on a 19” riser, results in a bow with 60" length (so 6" shorter) and around 28 pounds of draw weight (so 6 pounds heavier).
